QHSE/ISO Officer

Due to our continued growth, we are advertising for a new position within our organisation which will undertake duties associated with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) administration and ISO compliance.

We are seeking a QHSE/ISO Officer to assist in achieving the accreditation in international standards of AS/NZS 4801:2001, AS/NZS ISO 14001:2016, AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016

This is a multifaceted role and the successful candidate will need to have experience in work health and safety, ideally in the construction industry with sound knowledge of an ISO regulated environment.

Your major duties will include:

  • Develop, guide and support the implementation of quality systems and processes to achieve business outcomes
  • Developing and implementing risk assessments and safe work method statements for construction work, aligned with the WH&S Act and Regulations
  • Assist in implementation of WH&S strategies and initiatives
  • Develop, implement and maintain company policies and procedures specifically aligned to ISO certification
  • Assist with the review and completion of Environmental & Safety Management Plans

To be successful in the role you will need to be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of ISO compliance and management systems
  • Communicate effectively, consult with workers and be engaged in the development and review of Quality, Environmental and WH&S based documents and processes
  • Demonstrate a track record of success in a similarly complex and demanding position
  • Driven and wanting to learn. 

Required skills and experience:

  • Have working knowledge of the Work Health & Safety Act and Regulations
  • High level administration skills with proficient use in Microsoft Office suite
  • High level of electronic file structures and document control processes
  • Qualifications in either WH&S, auditing or compliance, not essential but highly regarded
  • WH&S risk management knowledge
  • Have sound knowledge and training in Quality and Environment Management
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and complete work within deadlines.
  • Ability to produce in-depth high-level reporting
