About the role:
We are looking for a Social Media Officer to manage our online presence and cultivate an engaging online community.
The role of Social Media Officer would suit someone who has the creative flair and experience to generate inspired and engaging social media content, who is a self-starter, reliable and highly independent.
The role requires someone who is passionate about mental health awareness and strongly believes in holistic practices. To be successful in this role you must also be willing to adapt to change swiftly.
Knowledge and skills:
As the spas Social Media Officer, your knowledge and skills will include:
strong understanding and proven application of social media principles, digital marketing strategies, content creation & strategy, online advertising and promotional strategies
up to date with global trends and strategies that can shape social media marketing
strong writing skills to articulate our service through a diverse content range
ability to break down complex topics or controversial news into digestible and informative content
Experience and qualifications:
The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:
Tertiary qualifications in digital communications, marketing, writing/broadcast journalism or related field and/or relevant work experience within a similar role
Highly proficient in managing social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest & LinkedIn
Demonstrated experience using editing, scheduling & publishing programs including Planoly, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Canva, Microsoft Word, Rev & WordPress
Confident in producing high quality media content independently; filming & video editing skills a must!
The role will include but is not limited to the following duties:
Organising, filming & editing video content with current and past clients, staff members & influencers
Creating & scheduling content for social media posts
Managing all social media accounts; replying to all comments & messages within 24 hours
Sourcing imagery & uploading weekly blogs to our website
Writing weekly newsletters for our client data base
Keeping on top of whats trending & latest news in mental health
Work closely with marketing, advertising & I.T team to distribute content
Manage influencers & ensure they are abiding by their Influencer Agreements
Track & measure social media growth analytics & compile monthly reports
A willingness to present your portfolio of your work at the interview..
