Account Manager | Power Generation


A global leader in the manufacture and development of a variety of industrial sealing technology and solutions. A trusted partner in engineered solutions to end-users from across industries ranging from power generation, oil and gas, mining, water to general industrial. 

A unique opportunity for an experienced sales engineer or product manager with a  technical aptitude, industry experience & knowledge and strong commercial acumen to manage, develop and drive profitable business growth for a portfolio of premium mechanical sealing products. 

You will be in charge of the entire product lifecycle - defining and evaluating the product strategy including managing strategic pricing, developing strong value propositions, supply chain review and competitor analysis. You will also be responsible for working with group marketing functions to promote and develop content for training and marketing. 

Ultimately you will become the 'go-to' product expert for the national sales team with whom you will work closely, leveraging on their existing connections to drive growth for your product portfolio across Australia and the Pacific Islands. 

You will have the support of an internal product specialist to assist you with administrative activities associated with the role such as basic estimations, supply-chain liaison, order input, etc. 


  • Strong knowledge of the power generation, gas, mining market sectors 
  • Qualifications in Engineering are highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience working in an international environment or in a matrix organisation
  • Demonstrated excellent computer, communication, presentation, management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to resolve difficult technical and business issues 
  • Be a self-starter with high motivation to achieve goals
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving skills in order to effectively work with customers, business partners, staff and management from a variety of skill levels as well as different authority levels
  • Flexibility in terms of dealing with changing priorities and dealing with multiple products/projects simultaneously
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to travel interstate and internationally when required
