Oil and Gas company, Focal point for delivering environmental compliance and reporting, Sydney based.An opportunity is available for an environmental professional to join a growing oil and gas exploration company in the role of Environmental and Compliance Reporting Officer based in Sydney.
The role will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will be the focal point for delivering environmental, permit compliance and reporting for all of the company's oil and gas tenements and acreage.
Responsibilities will include;
Manage and undertake Environmental Authority compliance monitoring requirements with soil, water and groundwater.
Maintenance of the permit's compliance reporting diary.
Responsible for preparing reports and submissions for government departments.
Compliance with relevant governmental environmental legislation and regulations.
Utilise environmental skills and knowledge to ensure compliance with all Environmental Permits.
Suitable applicants will have;
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Environmental Engineering/Science, Ecology or similar)
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role with an environmental consultancy, petroleum exploration and production or mining company or State or Federal regulatory body.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
Experience of Environmental Baseline Assessments and reporting.
Good report writing skills
Capability to generate GIS materials for reports
Ability to travel to the field as required.
A salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum is available for this role depending on level of experience, skills and capabilities.
