About the Role

SpringCity is currently open to applications for the role of Solar PV Inspector in selected states around Australia. You will be able to make your own hours with opportunities for travel. You will be responsible for conducting audits on small generation solar PV units to identify safety and compliance issues, documenting the audits, and preparing the findings report. You will be inducted and guided through the process by SpringCity's CEC Inspections team to ensure a smooth and professional working experience.

Note that suitable candidates will need to undergo a process to be nominated by SpringCity to become accredited inspectors.

Licensing Requirements

You are required to have the following licenses:

  • Valid electrical license for the state you are applying for, held for at least the last five years is mandatory
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory
  • CEC accreditation for install and design is mandatory
  • CEC accreditation for battery storage (install and design) is preferred

SpringCity will also consider qualified electricians (licensed solar PV installers) with exemplary attitudes and aid them to gain the necessary qualifications and certifications to carry out inspections.

Personal Requirements

To be considered for this part of our team you must possess:

  • A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards pertaining to electrical works (e.g. AS3000, AS5033, AS 4777)
  • Strong technical skills in residential and commercial PV solar installations
  • Effective planning and organisational skills
  • Competency in use of cloud-sharing applications (e.g. Dropbox and Google Drive)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with smart devices and applications (e.g. mobile phones, tablets)
  • Decent skill in capturing photographs that will be used as reporting evidence
  • Excellent and clear communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • A friendly demeanour, neat presentation, and good interpersonal skills
