Accounts/Office Manager

Our team is seeking an experienced Accounts/ Office Manager who can hit the ground running for their busy small office. The position is a permanent part time role of approx. 28 hours weekly. Flexibility around school hours / work days is subject to negotiation. We are a manufacturing environment and the role is based at our factory in the outer Western corridor of Ipswich.

This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Your main duties of this role will include, but not limited to

  • Reconciliations
  • Accounts Receivable/Payable
  • Payroll (Approx 20 staff)
  • Superannuation Returns
  • Preparation of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheets on  a monthly basis
  • Preparation of Weekly Management Reports
  • BAS Returns
  • ABS Returns
  • Budget preparation and monitoring
  • Other clerical work on request

To be successful you will have the following attributes

  • The ability to problem solve
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative
  • Strong MYOB experience(set-up and ongoing monthly financials)
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must have understanding of accounting standards and procedures
  • Previous experience with payroll and BAS returns
  • Previous experience with Modern Awards and NES
  • Intermediate computer skills MS Office suite
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Costing knowledge would be well regarded
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Previous manufacturing experience would be well regarded
