About the role

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Business Development / Account Manager for our Rutherford Team.

Responsibilities

Business Development Management

  • Developing solid and trusting relationships with major key clients
  • Generate new business opportunities with advanced business knowledge and practices
  • Generate leads and turning them into opportunities for sales 
  • Develop 3 - monthly sales strategy plan
  • Facilitate face to face appointments with all potential clients
  • Maintain a robust sales funnel of opportunities 
  • Prepare presentations and proposals using the Mammoth template(s) 
  • Resolving key client issues and complaints
  • Developing a complete understanding of key account needs
  • Managing communications between key clients and internal teams
  • Strategic planning to improve client results
  • Expanding relationships and bringing in new clients

Account Management

  • Service and maintain existing accounts 
  • Manage all accounts according to the customer portfolio requirements / expectations
  • Develop and drill down a weekly account management / sales call list 

Skills required

  • At least 5 years technical sales experience (business-to-business) 
  • Strong customer focus and a collaborative approach
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or any other related fields an advantage
  • A strong zero harm work ethic; 
  • Proactive sales hunter
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a diverse and dynamic team and work well under pressure
  • Experience in managing major national accounts at corporate level
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand 
  • Previous experience working within a technical presale or sale support position (business-to-business) 
  • Excellent negotiating skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and application of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Availability to travel interstate and intrastate as required
