JH Market is a Lighting and Electrical Wholesaler, providing Australian sparkies and builders with access to quality lighting and electrical products designed, built and tested for the Australian market. We are a diverse, tight knit team, who are constantly looking at ways to push the boundaries of innovation and growth and live by the mantra work hard, play hard.  Our digital team has expanded incredibly quickly in the last 12 months and we are looking to broaden the skillsets within the team, to take us to new heights!


The Role: 
 

We are seeking a Digital Content Specialist for a broad ranging role, with a focus on producing dynamic, high-quality and creative content for a variety of digital platforms and channels. As a talented communicator, you will possess exceptional writing skills and be well versed in the key digital tools of the trade, enabling you to create diverse content, from case studies, to infographics, digital banners and social media posts. Success will be defined by your ability to create digital content that attracts and resonates with our target audiences.


Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Content, Content, Content! From research through to writing, editing and fact-checking, a critical part of the role will be to build out a rich database of content, that can then be used across various channels and platforms to serve different purposes.

 

  • You will generate this content from internal and external Product SMEs, customers, online sources, industry publications and more, providing a breadth of information on our products and their applications.

 

  • You will be able to re-shape this content for a variety of sources, including our website, for use on banners, landing, internal and product pages and as marketing materials for specific audiences or purposes, creating innovative and engaging results within the scope of brand guidelines. Starting with a design brief, this will include:
    • EDMs - conceptualising, designing and developing
    • Display ads and banners - concept through to design across ad sizes
    • Social ads and content - design and production with good awareness of best practices for the platform
    • Infographics for use across all of the above
  • You will manage and maintain key digital assets including content, images, banners and display creatives

 

Who We're Looking For:

Our ideal candidate will be someone with at least 2 years demonstrated experience, ideally working with highly technical and complex products or services. If this experience was gained in a B2B environment, this will take you to the top of the class! You will be highly self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team. You can demonstrate a history of self-development and hunger for continuous development. You will be able to cope with the demands of an extremely fast paced business, with your outstanding work ethic and can-do attitude and will roll up your sleeves to get things done!


Essential Skills & Experience: 

 

  • Tertiary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Visual Communications Design or a related field
  • At least two years experience in a similar role, ideally within a B2B environment
  • Strong writing skills to write and edit with speed and accuracy, with an eagle eye for detail
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to conduct interviews and transform information from spoken to written content
  • Demonstrated experience designing eDMs, Digital Banners and Display Ads
  • Proficiency with the digital tools of the trade including Word, Excel, Content Management Systems, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, search engines for conducting research and general knowledge of the online communications landscape
  • Good digital design skills and an eye for presenting visual material
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as the confidence to work in a small team where transparency is a given
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • A high personal standard of work and the strong visual, written and spoken communication skills to back it up
  • Strong administrative skills including task tracking, version control and time management 
  • Skilled in working within existing brand guidelines and adapting them for digital platforms


Desirable Skills & Experience: 

 

  • Awareness of integrated marketing platforms such as Klaviyo.
  • Awareness of best practice for design across Facebook and Instagram and web design skills
  • Knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads
  • Knowledge of automation and CRM systems
  • A basic understanding of HTML5, JavaScript and CSS
