About the job
We have a fantastic opportunity to come join the People, Planning & Culture Services Department as our new Payroll Manager. In this role you will be accountable for overseeing the Payroll team to provide effective, accurate and efficient services. This will include the development and maintenance of best practice payroll and reporting processes and procedures with a focus on upholding legislative compliance and requirements. Critical to this role is the maintaining of the HR payroll system to ensure a high standard of data integrity for the purposes of reporting and data analysis. This includes supporting the recent implementation of new payroll and HCM platforms to ensure the delivery of a best fit payroll system and processes.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, P&C Shared Services, this role will work with a variety of teams to ensure a high level of service is delivered by the People, Planning & Culture function and will play an integral role in the uplift in capability of the Payroll team and function as a whole.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Extensive demonstrable experience in HCM, payroll and reporting systems (particularly Workday and iChris/ Chris21) and the operations and maintenance of such
systems.
• Knowledge of financial and audit requirements, particularly in their application to payroll operations
• A thorough working knowledge and understanding of Human Resource principles practices and operational activities
