Legacy Brisbane is a charitable organization that looks after the families of our nation's fallen and the families of our nation's incapacitated veterans. Legacy is a self-funded and volunteer-based organisation providing services to a broad range of dependents including widow/ers, young families, disability, and youth services programs. Legacy Brisbane provides services to Greater Brisbane as well as the vast majority of South East Queensland and Central Queensland. We are seeking an experienced Head of Fundraising, Marketing, and Communication extraordinaire to join our organisation and lead a team of dedicated fundraisers as we design sustainable services into our future.

The Head of Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications drives the strategic income generation, awareness, and engagement to support Legacy to achieve its mission to care for the families of those who served their country. We are seeking an energetic, innovative, and strategic thinking individual who can lead a team of community, corporate, bequest, and individual giving fundraisers. Your team will deliver enormous and sustainable impact to the families in our care. You will be a proven fundraiser with great communication skills and marketing awareness. Your proven capability in managing our donor programs will make you an asset and a valued member of the management team of this iconic Australian charity. This role largely involves the implementation of ethical strategic fundraising, marketing, and communications plans, and complimentary business plans. You will have a strong team perspective requiring effective leadership, mentorship, and management of the FRMC Team and engagement with Legatees (volunteer members of Legacy), volunteers, and supporters of Legacy. Your leadership capacity will also extend across local, state, and national committees and centres of excellence. You will be part of the Executive Leadership Team of Legacy Brisbane.
The role is a full-time position (38 hours per week).

SC1. Experience in designing, managing, and delivering effective fundraising strategies across Individual Giving (DM, RG, Bequests and Major Gifts), Community fundraising (peer to peer, supporter events, signature events), Corporate Fundraising (partnerships, workplace giving), and Grants/Trusts/Foundations.
SC2. Experience in developing and delivering effective Marketing and Communications Strategies across Brand, Media/PR, and Social Media, Digital, and Advertising.
SC3. Strong and effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to motivate and engage stakeholders.
SC4. Ability to effectively develop new/existing networks and productive relationships with numerous stakeholders including sponsors, donors, and supporters.
SC5. Ability to engage complex internal stakeholder groups demonstrating the Legacy Brisbane values and mission focus.
SC6. Strong capability to lead a high functioning team to ensure service delivery.
SC7. Understanding of governance and federated organisations.
- 5+ years' relevant experience in Fundraising, marketing, and Communications.
- It is a requirement of the position to occasionally work outside of normal business hours.
- Where the worker's duties may bring them into contact with children away from their normal place of work (e.g. a client's home, other offices/workplaces), then a Working with Children suitability check must be undertaken. In these circumstances, the Working with Children (Blue Card) check and DSQ Positive Notice will be a condition of ongoing employment.
- Current C class driver's licence (necessary).
