Store Person - Warehouse Dispatch
Franca Design is a supplier of high end materials of natural stone, we expertly select unique and diverse stone from around the world that is desirable within the architectural and design industry.
Our experience enables us to establish strong relationships with our clients to assist them in their projects however big or small.
Our office and factory are located in Eagle Farm, Brisbane.
Our clients range from the general public to small and large builders, cabinet makers, architects and designers.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a store person to be responsible for material, inventory and logistics. This opportunity requires someone who can exemplify our brand and values, manage their time, maintain order and stock levels.
Key duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
Maintaining schedule and stock levels using job tracking and scheduling software.
Organising with suppliers, clients, transport companies and internal staff, transportation of stone and stock to and from suppliers, our warehouse and job sites.
Working and collaborating with the office and production to ensure material is ready and prepared for processing.
Taking pictures of material for drafts men and machine operators - noting any defects, pits, scratches or other issues with the raw material.
Maintaining a clean and ordered warehouse, plant, equipment and work space.
Using forklift, cranes and trucks to move and transport material.
Manual lifting and general labouring.
Properly and safely load and unload slabs/offcuts
Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on forklift
Attention to detail

Ensuring the Franca Design standards are always adhered to and delivered.
Receive and check material picking lists and drawing from draftsmen or machine operators.
Working as a team
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success within a similar role or work environment.
Highly desirable attributes include;
Experience within the stone industry
Truck licence (desirable but not required)
Ability to work as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills, this role requires strict adherence to deadlines.
Strong organisational skills to ensure projects run smoothly and within the required time frames.
A strong technical understanding of stonemasonry and all the different types of materials and finishes. (desirable but not required)

Minimum Experience and Education Requirements:
>2 years working as a store person driving trucks and forklifts.
Completed Secondary School
Prefered Experience and Education:
>2 years working in a stone masonry factory
Licenced to drive forklift
Operate cranes/lifting equipment
Fit and able
No pre-existing medical conditions i.e. bad back etc.
Not suffering from silicosis
