We are looking for an experienced professional to take on a position of Project Manager to join our professional team. Reporting to the General Manager Special Projects, this role is responsible for managing projects from start to finish while maintaining and building relationship with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring the successful financial and operational delivery of your projects.
Check that equipment supplier and sub-contractor quotes comply with the specification, contract and quality requirements.
Negotiate with equipment Suppliers, Subcontractors and Consultant to achieve the specification, contract and quality requirements
Prepare letters of intent/place orders for all equipment and Subcontractors.
Prepare equipment supplier and delivery schedule for issue
Attend their sites on a regular basis including site meetings, ensure sites labour is adequate and site diaries are being completed correctly
Ensure project financial status is regularly reviewed and updated
Document claims for delay and extension of time (costs only to be claimed, where applicable and agreed with Division Manager)
Input variations as they occur and before work starts
Manage design and documentation on all projects.
Compile operating and maintenance manuals
Initiate warranty maintenance programme
Uphold the BSA Values and Behaviours and comply with the BSA WHS requirements designed to protect the health and safety of all people and the environment at work
The successful candidate will have:
Minimum 5 years Commercial Experience with Consulting Engineers or Mechanical Services preferably with relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Mechanical, Building Services or Engineering.
Experience in contract reviews and negotiations.
Ability to work in a team environment and manage staff with varied disciplines of expertise.
A strong focus on OHS & E and Quality systems.
Service focussed and hands-on professional with a natural drive to ‘get things done’.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership and time management skills.
