The Barkly Regional Deal is a 10-year commitment between the Commonwealth, the Northern Territory Government, and the Barkly Regional Council to the Barkly region, with an investment of $78.4 million. The Deal will support the productivity and livability of the Barkly region by stimulating economic growth and improving social outcomes, including reducing overcrowding and improving child safety.

The Backbone is offering an exciting opportunity for a Data, Measuring and Evaluation Coordinator to play an important role in the creation of the monitoring and evaluation framework and subsequent management of the framework for the Barkly Regional Deal in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory. You will be working closely with a diverse group of stakeholders and partner organisations, so you will need to have excellent communication, organisation and relationship building skills.

You will have experience in the design and implementation of large-scale program evaluation in the social/community sector, using a wide range of evaluation techniques including developmental evaluation, quantitative and qualitative methods.
The Backbone Data, Measuring and Evaluation Coordinator will be the first point of contact for data and evaluation of the Barkly Regional Deal and the Department of Social Services Stronger Places Strong People Initiative in the Barkly. You will support the design and coordination the development of a data hosting platform, in partnership with external consultants/partners.

The Barkly Backbone Team has been established to support the Barkly Regional Governance Group as they progress the implementation of the Barkly Regional Deal. The team have the specific function of implementing the regional vision and strategies as identified and guided by the interim Barkly Regional Governance Group. This is a full-time position with 1 or 2 year contract options and excellent package which is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
