We have a friendly and dedicated small staff team who support the volunteers in the delivery of the Australian Guide Program and we are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to come and join this team.

We are seeking an experienced Receptionist/Administrator who will provide excellent customer service to members and prospective members of Girl Guides Western Australia.

This is a full time role (Monday-Friday 9-5) initially on a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension.  The role will be based in our office in Belmont.

The core objectives of the role include:

  • Provide friendly and helpful front of house presence for Girl Guides WA, managing initial face-to-face, phone and email enquiries.
  • Be responsible for the running of a small shop, including customer service face to face and on-line sales, and restocking shelves as necessary.
  • Assisting with general membership enquiries, event bookings and other event administration.
  • General administrative duties such as mail, banking and room/property bookings.

Role competencies   

  • High level customer service skills and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through a range of mediums and media.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Information Technology particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable and proficient in the use of databases and retail software (Desirable)
