Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic / Wheel Alignment Technician

About the Role

TYRERAMA Rockingham is exited to welcome a new experienced and driven to succeed Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic / Wheel Alignment Technician to their team. In this role you will use your expertise to safety undertake Wheel Alignment, Brake, Suspension and Servicing related work within a brand new workshop with the latest in alignment and workshop technology. You will work closely and act as a mentor to enhance the skills of other staff members to deliver the best service to our valued customers.

What you would do

Your daily task would generally comprise of,

  • Accurately adjusting wheel alignment (to OE specifications) and conducting post alignment checks
  • Diagnosing and replacing brakes on passenger, SUV & 4x4 vehicles
  • Checking and servicing steering and suspension systems on passenger, SUV & 4x4 vehicles
  • Identifying faults in vehicle stability and tyre wear
  • Undertake tyre fitting, balancing and puncture repairs
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workshop
  • Maintain workshop equipment and hand tools, conduct regular safety inspections and report / correct faulty equipment and tools
  • Safely operating hoists and undertake daily inspections
  • Undertake vehicle road tests

About you

  • A valid trade qualification / certification and drivers licence (manual) for WA is essential
  • Must be wheel alignment certified or have a minimum of 3 years experience (proven experience required with references)
  • Competent in the diagnosis, service and repair / adjustment of wheel alignment, brakes and suspension systems
  • Must be confident in adequately quote and advise customers
  • Are well presented, punctual and takes responsibility
  • Prior experience working as a motor mechanic / wheel alignment technician
  • Excellent problem solver and pay attention to detail
  • Work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Work independently / unsupervised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge and compliance to workplace Health & Safety
  • Must be able to work on Saturdays
