What you will do

This is a 7 month maternity leave contract role until May 2021, working in a team of 3, you will be part of the Procurement department, reporting to the National Procurement Manager. Key duties will involve;

  • Supporting and guiding internal stakeholders in the procurement process
  • Commercial responsibility for all steps of the procurement process,
  • Undertaking category strategy development and sourcing activities
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery
  • Developing strong cross functional relationships across the organisation
  • Maintaining data on the Procurement Intranet
  • Maintain departmental reporting
  • Follow and ensure compliance with Scania Global Purchasing Strategic Plan

Who you are

To be successful as a Procurement Category Manager within our organisation, we believe that you will have experience in negotiating and establishing supplier agreements with an understanding of contracts and SLA’s. You will have experience across direct and indirect spend. You will most likely hold a degree in Business or related discipline. You will be a strong communicator, be proactive and results orientated. You will enjoy working as part of a small team, but also work well autonomously. Experience within the automotive industry, while not essential will be highly regarded.
