Purpose of the role
Deliver project services and expert advice for Councils building and facilities projects to meet Operational Plan outcomes and objectives.
This role is responsible for managing allocated projects and will run capital works delivery of certain projects.
Within the area of responsibility, this role is required to:
Undertake project and program activities including project planning, feasibility assessment and development of consultant and other briefs, to deliver Operational Plan actions.
Undertake and monitor a range of activities throughout the project lifecycle, including due diligence, project governance, risk mitigation, reporting and evaluation, to achieve project plan outcomes and requirements within agreed scope.
Formulate and deliver public consultation plans in relation to projects and programs to obtain input or to provide information regarding proposals.
Engage with stakeholders and external providers and consultants to progress excellence and advanced solutions to the agreed project scope, budgets, timelines and deliverables.
Contribute in strategic planning and feasibility activities to guarantee projects deliver maximum significance to the community.
Provide accurate advice, analysis and reporting to Council stakeholders and make recommendations regarding alignment of project proposals, major developments and buildings, with policy and strategic objectives.
Deliver professional evidence in claims and legal proceedings relating to open space projects.
Undertake tendering and contract administration compliant with policy and legislative requirements.
Engage in collaboration with the team, manager and other key stakeholders to achieve business unit goals, work requests, demands and Council performances.
Prepare detailed documentation internally suitable for smaller project design and construction.
Undertake the preparation of consultation boards and other graphics material using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD.
A Bachelor Degree in Architecture (or equivalent) which satisfies eligibility requirements for professional membership of the Australian Institute of Architects or equivalent professional association.
Current Drivers Licence Class C.
