Senior Roster Clerk

Home Support Association Inc (HSA) originated as a local, grass-roots service through the work of people living in this community and driven by the needs of people living in this community and continues to operate under these principles today after 26 years of change and growth. 

At HSA, as a truly local, NDIS provider, we work alongside people to identify their strengths, interests and goals, providing just the right amount of support they need to be able to live the lifestyle they choose. 

The role:

This newly created role will see you lead and develop the rostering team. You will utilise your exceptional communication skills in dealing with a variety of staff, external agencies and service users and their families and/or guardians. 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in successful management of a rostering team.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team, to lead, establish work priorities for self and others, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of computer skills including sound knowledge of the MS Office Suite and corporate software systems. 
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and apply award & legislative requirements.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and industrial instruments including NDIS Act 2013 and the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.
  • Positive notice criminal history screening as derived from the NDIS Act.
  • Class C drivers licence.

In this role you will:

  • Champion the system and be the point of contact for all staff and client related rostering queries.
  • Exercises initiative in the application of work procedures.
  • Respond to ad hoc changes required by customers and workers by adjusting schedules and systems and communicating with stakeholders daily as well as providing advice on award.
  • Work with the staff in your team to ensure targets are met from annual performance reviews.
