Key Accounts Support Officer

The Key Account Support Officer is responsible for maintaining client relationships and providing support to the Account Management and Key Accounts team within the commercial and liquid waste division.

The job

  • Be the first point of contact for Tier 1 customers. Provide support to the Account Managers and Key Accounts team.
  • Manage the inbox for Tier 1 customer inquiries- investigate customer issues and questions, re-book or adjust services. Find resolutions quickly and demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Generate monthly invoices and upload into our customer management system for payment.
  • Follow up outstanding accounts and reconcile payment information.
  • Investigate inquiries and invoice queries/credits
  • Assist with the administration of onboarding new customers and sites. This is to include account and site set up in our system, data entry of services and contact information, equipment, pricing, invoicing & sub-contractors services.
  • Plan and organise daily work schedules to call on existing customers
  • Effectively maintain and retain existing customers by building long-term relationships
  • Respond to all inquiries, cancellation requests, and sales requests within specified time-frame (within 24 hours)
  • Make recommendations to the Key Account & Business Development Manager (C&I) on customer complaints and develop solutions to resolve issues

What you bring

  • Intermediate-Advanced Excel and Microsoft suite skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience in the Waste Industry or similar industry
  • Strong administration experience in a support function
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Problem solving skills- able to investigate issues and find solutions
  • Ability to deal politely and effectively with inquires and complaints
  • Highly organised and efficient
