The Head of Maintenance Engineering will oversee the strategic leadership of the Maintenance Engineering team, ensuring a highly capable, engaged, organised and cohesive team which consistently achieves all targets. This is a key senior leadership position within a critical function for the LPC operation, ensuring consistent availability and efficient performance of our mechanical and electrical plant and assets, and returning value to LPC through strong financial results. The Head of Maintenance Engineering will also oversee a significant project that will re-shape the Maintenance function, through relocation of the team to a new, purpose-built maintenance facility at the LPC site, providing an excellent opportunity to set the foundation for the continued development of our Maintenance capability.
Specific duties include:
Leading the process of engaging the team to develop, implement and drive a maintenance strategy that achieve exceptional performance in all aspects of productivity and efficiency
Refreshing and embedding a culture focussed on high performance, continuous improvement, engagement, growth and delivery of service to customers
Leads the development of plans for future growth and expansion
Taking a vigilant approach to maintaining, analysing and enhancing financial performance and cost reduction within the Maintenance Engineering team.
Ensures the Maintenance Engineering infrastructure and resourcing are well placed to meet the current and future demands, and co-ordinating the provision of operational resources and expertise as required on key LPC projects
Engaging regularly with customers to build and maintain relationships and monitors the performance of the maintenance engineering function against customer expectations.
You will have proven senior and contemporary leadership experience inclusive of people and performance, business improvement, leading change, designing and implementing productivity initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field
Proven leadership experience and technical knowledge base in a heavy engineering / industrial environment, overseeing all facets of strategic planning and operations relating to asset management, planned and reactive maintenance and projects
Strong financial acumen with an ability to critically interpret and apply an understanding of key financial indicators to inform sound decision making and business case recommendations.
Have strong communication and influencing skills and a passion for team building and staff engagement.
