ABOUT THE POSITION.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Steel Reinforcing Scheduler to join our diligent and highly experienced team located in NSW.  

 

DUTIES.

You will be working on projects related to scheduling and production of reinforcing bar.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing schedules and marking plans from architectural and structural drawings and coordinating the supply of reinforcement in accordance with customer requirements, relevant Australian Standards, Policy and manufacturing capabilities

  • Identifying anomalies / discrepancies with architectural and structural drawings and seek clarification from customer prior to scheduling

  • Liaising with customers, factory and internal stakeholders to accurately forecast current customer construction projects to ensure internal resources are optimally managed to provide both high levels of customer satisfaction and maximum levels of profitability

  • Site walks to improve strategy and placement scheduling

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

  • Min. 5 years of experience working on site within the steel, building or construction industry

  • Autocad for prefab and marking plans desirable

  • Experience using ASA schedule system desirable  

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and manage time effectively

  • Be able to adapt  to our end to end process of schedule - manufacture - prefab - delivery - onsite steel fixing

  • General understanding of the construction process and the ability to extract detailed information from construction drawings

  • Tertiary education in Civil Engineering is desirable

  • Ability to plan and organise

  • Good communication and teamwork skills
