VERSALUX Leading Australian Commercial Lighting company located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne requires the talents of a person with experience in electrical/electronic engineering and the regulations governing electrical safety and energy efficiency of lighting products.
The primary role will be to manage and coordinate our engineering team in their responsibilities and processes. It will include, but not be limited to:
System Take-Offs in preparation for production
Technical Manuals & Shop Drawings.
Compliance Declaration and registration of Versalux products
The position would suit a candidate who has the following attributes:
Experience in the lighting industry would be highly beneficial
Experience in compliance and regulation of electrical/electronic equipment
Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to use power tools
Computer literate (MS Office) with good report writing skills
Familiarity with product costing and ERP systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to demonstrate initiative.
Able to work independently and manage a small team.
Hold Permanent Australian Residency and have a driver licence.

Manage our Engineering Team.
Provide technical support for Management, Product Managers, Customer Service & Sales, Production floor, Purchasing Team, Manufacturing Order creation, IQC and Field Return Failure Analysis.
Overseeing Document Control for IQC, Field Return Analysis, Technical Drawings, MO, testing report, SDoC and related documents.
Overseeing the new product design and prototype sample making with Product Managers.
Enforcing product safety and safety review for locally assembled and imported products in the IQC process.
Supervising the accuracy of the Shop Drawings process and integration with Customer Service to customer specifications.
Overseeing the certification process for AEMO, VEET, TGA etc.
Overseeing the inhouse testing such as Electrical Power Test, and Temperature test.
Coordinate lab tests inhouse and with external testing labs.
Salary will be commensurate with your experience. This is a full-time position, working 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Applications close on Friday 25 September 2020 and only suitable candidates will be notified for interview.
