Perilya Broken Hill Ltd is currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join the Maintenance Department.
Perilya Broken Hill Limited has been an integral part of the Broken Hill community since acquiring Pasminco Limiteds Broken Hill operations in 2002.
On the Broken Hill Line of Lode, Perilya currently operates 3, zinc-lead-silver mines in Broken Hill, the Potosi Mine, North Mine and Southern Operations, holds a number of exploration tenements and has development approval for an open pit mine, the Flying Doctor.
Perilya directly employs 440 workers and indirectly 200 full-time equivalent contractors on its sites and provides ongoing work for a number of local, industry supporting, businesses. Perilya is a proud direct supporter and contributor to the Broken Hill area including health, school, and sporting communities.
The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and development of the underground electrical maintenance teams at the Broken Hill Operations.
Your key duties will include, but not limited to:
- Management and supervision of electrical personnel performance, training, development and communications.
- Achieve agreed performance goals in safety and environment and report on any specific safety and environmental issues.
- Provide ongoing assistance and information to the electrical maintenance planning section.
- Implementation of the electrical maintenance schedule.
What you need to succeed
To be successful you will hold an Electrical Trade Certificate, NSW Qualified Supervisors Certificate, High Voltage Operators Ticket and a current First Aid Certificate; you will also have a minimum of five years trade experience, preferably in the Mining Industry. You must also have excellent communication, organisation and time management skills as well as strong computer literacy including CMMS System skills.
