About the Opportunity
We are excited to be looking for an experienced Bookkeeper/Financial Manager who will be responsible for the recording, processing and reporting of the business' financial activities.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a stand alone role that encompasses a broad range of activities and is suitable for someone who is happy to be hands-on in all aspects of company accounts administration, payroll and reporting.
The role is a permanent full-time opportunity.
Key Result Areas:
Maintaining company accounts - daily reconciliation of cash accounts and credit cards; entry and processing of all invoices, payables and petty cash management; preparing relevant month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations; and reconciling all accounts and journals at year end.
Taxes and lodgements - preparing IAS and BAS lodgements; lodging monthly payroll tax & annual payroll tax reconciliation and submitting annual financials to the Companys accountants for annual review/ audit.
Maintaining payroll and superannuation - processing of payroll (currently weekly); prepare, lodge & reconcile annual PAYG Employee Summaries; Monthly preparation of Superannuation contributions and payment; and preparation of annual workers compensation return.
Financial reporting and analysis - prepare monthly and annual financial reports for internal use and statutory reporting; Ad hoc financial analysis as requested from Directors and Senior Management and assist the Managing Director with preparing annual cashflow and financial forecasting.
Relevant qualification in accounting, small business bookkeeping or similar.
Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role.
Strong level of computer skills and experience with Xero and Excel.
Excellent communication skills.
High-level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figures.
The ability to work autonomously and to support the Managing Director and other senior managers.
