The opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced professional to take on this newly created position of Business Development Manager. This role is responsible for seeking new client opportunities and driving sales growth across the NSW Service portfolio within BSA’s Advanced Property Solutions (APS) division.

Responsibilities include:

  • Increase client base in assigned territory by identifying and developing new service business opportunities through to closure.
  • Identify and map business strengths and client needs.
  • Deliver high quality clients propositions with a structured approach
  • Negotiate with internal/external stakeholders to achieve best outcome for APS
  • Research business opportunities and viable income streams
  • Follow industry trends locally and internationally
  • Lead commercial and contractual discussions/negotiations
  • Manage new and existing relationships with rigorous call schedule
  • Comprehensive handover of clients to account manager/delivery teams upon execution of contracts/agreements
  • Ensure adherence to WHS & E legislation and implementation of HSEQ system on the Contract.
  • Comply with the BSA Code of Conduct, company policies, process standards and practice standards

The successful candidate will have:

  • Industry experience and qualifications in HVAC (along with a thorough understanding of DA-19 and data analytics), building services, construction or fire protection would be an advantage.
  • Advanced/expert user of excel with prior experience pricing maintenance programs for clients.
  • Have experience in putting together tender response bids that conform to both technical and qualitative requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of the potential client business, strategic drivers, financial requirements in the NSW market.
  • In-depth knowledge of business solutions and value proposition
  • High degree of contractual and financial acumen with broad experience across performance maintenance contract models;
  • Exceptional influencing abilities and effective objection handling skills
  • Winning outlook with experience in exceeding sales targets
  • Confident professional with an ability to build rapport
  • Strong experience in implementation of business development strategies
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, negotiations and time management skills.
