The City Presentation Department plays a key role in maintaining streetscape amenity and shaping liveable neighbourhoods. As a member of the leadership group, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer works closely with a highly skilled and multidiscipline team of Works Officers who collectively administer both the programmed and reactive maintenance of infrastructure assets across the municipality.
Working under the direction of the Manager City Presentation, the position is required to exercise innovative decision-making practices to achieve the operational and strategic outcomes for various road-related service delivery programs that meet Council’s policies, procedures and customer service charter.
Ideally you will have extensive experience in civil design and construction, with comprehensive knowledge of general infrastructure maintenance and construction techniques, proven ability to manage contractors, strong understanding of detailed design documentation, highly effective interpersonal skills, capacity to handle a busy workload, strong communication skills, well developed computer skills and the ability to work positively in a team environment. Experience with working in the local government sector would be advantageous.
