Payroll Team Leader - Full time permanent

To commence as soon as possible

This role is based in the CEDWW Office in Wagga Wagga NSW

The Payroll function is critical to CEDWW. The Payroll Team Leader (currently responsible for a team of four Officers) ensures that the payroll process runs smoothly and is completed with a high level of accuracy. The Payroll Team Leader is responsible for the payroll teams efficient interaction with the Finance and HR Services functions. The Payroll Team Leader provides specialist advice and support to CEDWWs leadership group.

The Payroll Team Leader plays an integral role in the success of our workforce and the achievement of our vision, mission and organisational objectives.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience running end to end payroll in a high volume environment.
  • Understanding of payroll compliance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Modern Awards and other state and industry legislation.
  • Knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations and legislation.
  • Experience leading a team
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced computer software skills, Word and Excel and other accounting / payroll packages.
  • Relevant industry-standard qualification(s) or Diploma or Bachelor Degree
  • Current Drivers Licence.

Desirable

  • Experience in the Education sector
  • Experience working in a large multidisciplinary organisation

This role will require the successful applicant to hold a current Working With Children Check and consent to a National Police Criminal History Check.
