Hop Products Australia (HPA) is the countrys leading hop grower. We farm, process and package a number of uniquely Australian flavour hops that are worshipped by brewers around the world for their impact in beer.
Our Australian hops have never been more popular as brewers look for fruit-forward flavours that cannot be found anywhere else. These brewers are inspired by stories of provenance and opportunities for collaboration which has motivated us to look for a Marketing Event Coordinator to join our team of beer lovers at head office in North Hobart.
Reporting to the Marketing Specialist, the Marketing Event Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and execution of events on farm and at industry events to meet the business strategic objectives. This includes both physical and virtual brand activation's for farm tours, product launches, trade shows, conferences and collaborations that deliver a true representation of our brand in a way that maximise's customer engagement.
This is a full time position however part time hours may be considered.
Contribute to event strategy, including identifying key events, develop key messaging then train sales team members or other internal staff, ensure appropriate insurance is in place, develop dedicated communication plans, and post-event reporting
Organise, set up, staff and pack down events according to strategic objectives, including potential out of hours and interstate work
Prepare event budgets, ensure adherence, and issue invoices as required
Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
Negotiate and execute sponsorship contracts
Ensure event displays adhere to the brand style guide
Collaborate with international Barth Haas stakeholders, local community organisations, industry bodies, brand ambassadors and brewing customers
Prepare post-event reports based on ROIs and suggestions to enhance events success
Knowledge & Skills
Event coordinator experience
Communication, networking and people skills that lead to strong relationships
A keen sense of time management
Ability to coordinate resources efficiently
Ability to work within a budget
Comfortable liaising with vendors and suppliers
Able to efficiently perform clerical tasks
Social media and digital marketing experience
B2B marketing experience
Knowledge of or an interest in the craft beer industry
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years event coordination or brand activation experience
Tertiary qualification in Event Management, Marketing or an allied discipline

Salary will be commensurate with experience and negotiated with the successful applicant.
