Abacus is currently seeking a motivated and organised full-time Invoicing and Accounts Receivable Officer to join our friendly and supportive team.

Duties will include but are not limited to;

Invoicing and Administration

  • Processing / invoicing customer orders (Warehouse Management System) including returns, refunds, credits
  • Providing customers with quotations
  • Processing credit card payments in eWAY
  • Customer Relations, i.e. responding to customer queries, assisting in the shop, answering the phone
  • Assist other admin staff with other ad-hoc duties and projects

Accounts Receivable

  • Email end of month statements and attend to customer queries
  • Debt collection
  • Weekly reconciliation of credit cards
  • Weekly banking cheques and cash
  • Reconciling bank accounts daily, including clearance accounts
  • Use Google calendar for work flow
  • Assist finance manager with other ad-hoc end of month tasks

Your background

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role and using MYOB
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel  
  • Excellent organisational and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently in a pro-active manner
