Administration and Practice Manager

Our studio is looking for an Administration and Practice Manager who is friendly, organised, flexible and hard working.

This role is more than answering calls and booking appointments. As a growing and dynamic business we are looking for the right candidate to grow with us and transition into a Practice Manager.

Starting part-time, the role offers flexible hours across Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with work from home opportunities, competitive remuneration and long-term stability.

About Us

Pear Exercise Physiology is a multidisciplinary womens health studio offering exercise physiology, remedial massage, reformer pilates, clinical nutrition and pelvic healthy physiotherapy to support women through all stages of life.

We are passionate about womens health and specialise in:

  • Pregnancy, birth and postnatal recovery
  • Breast, bowel and gynaecological cancers
  • Chronic pain management
  • Endometriosis, Prolapse and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
  • Rehabilitation pre and post surgery / injury, injury prevention and chronic complex musculoskeletal conditions
  • Chronic disease management including Diabetes, Heart Disease, Neuromuscular, Osteoporosis and falls prevention

We are leading experts in our field and aim to break down the barriers of taboo and stigma in womens health, by helping all women to use exercise as medicine and to prioritise self-care in all stages of life.

Located in Chermside West, we are a children and baby friendly studio, so the applicant must have a blue card and be comfortable working around mothers and children.

The Role

This role is fast-paced and will suit someone who likes to keep busy, as quiet periods will be taken up with projects that enhance and build the practice.

The role offers our team comprehensive support skills and you must be strongly outcome focussed and be able to meet challenging tasks in a timely manner.

You will report to the Director and work together to help grow the business. This will initially involve a combination of reception and administrative duties, including patient liaison, appointment bookings and account invoicing. 

As you grow in the role, your duties will expand to business development, seeking business growth opportunities and practice management responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who will ultimately step up to take over the management of the business, so long-term candidates will be preferred and we will support you in your goals and vision for the practice.

About You

Essential

  • Well-presented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Friendly and professional manner.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills and an eye for detail.
  • Well-developed strategic, conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent working skills with the ability to follow clinical and management directives as well as show initiative.
  • A willingness to be agile and responsive to day-to-day needs of a busy practice including multi-tasking.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Comfortable working with children and babies and you must have a blue card.

Desirable

  • Experience in a practice manager role, or allied health receptionist would be strongly favourable.
  • A good knowledge of health fund billing, Medicare and DVA with training in our booking system(s) Nookal and MINDBODY provided. 
  • Experience working with MAC computer systems.
  • Marketing and business development experience.
  • Experience in managing a specialist practice.
  • People management experience.
