Recruitment Officer - 12 Month full time fixed term with possible extension

Full Time 12 month fixed term position with possible extension, Working closely with Human Resource, Training and Compliance Teamss, Level 3 SCHADS Award plus salary packaging of $15,900 per year + more.We are searching for a Full Time Recruitment Officer – 12 month fixed term position with possible extension.

At Cootharinga you will:

  • Provide end to end recruitment process including talent attraction, selection and employee on-boarding for frontline support worker and Allied Health positions.
  • Provide support to the Human Resource Team on the end to end recruitment process for corporate staff.
  • Plan and execute advertising and recruitment campaigns via various mediums.
  • Coordinate interviews and provide administrative support to selection panels.
  • Undertake reference checks and process criminal screening checks.
  • Assist with planning and coordination of events such a as careers expos and group assessment centres.
  • Work collaboratively with the Workforce Development Officer, Regional Leaders and Service Managers to focus on a robust induction training for all frontline support worker positions and other positions where and when required, including the sourcing of buddy shifts for new staff.
  • Set up the employee through the HR Database, ICT and External Payroll Provider.
  • Create and maintain a pipeline of current and future candidates by growing internal and external networks and other recruitment channels.
  • Maintain professional levels of confidentiality of information for candidates, employees, managers and other stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use relevant policies, awards, procedures and legislation to provide human resources advice to managers and employees regarding recruitment, conditions and benefits.
  • Participate in the development of HR initiatives including employee surveys, wellbeing programs, and attraction & retention programs.
  • Prepare monthly recruitment management reports where required.

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in internal recruitment
  • Demonstrated experience working with high volume recruitment, including but not limited to multiple bulk recruitments across multiple geographical areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and completing a high volume of mandatory requirements such as criminal history screening, first aid certification.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to develop strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders including working effectively as a team member without direct supervision.
  • Intermediate computer skills, specifically using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving, time management and multi-tasking.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Desirable requirement:

  • Current 'C' Class Drivers Licence, acceptable under Queensland Legislation.
  • Eligibility to meet the requirements of a Department of Communities and Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian criminal history screening.
  • Experience working in the Community/Not for Profit sector.
