CONTRACTS MANAGEMENT/QUALITY OFFICER

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced person to join our team. Supporting the Project Managers in this newly created role, and working across multiple projects, the main duties will cover:

  • Providing support on Tender submissions;
  • Contract Management (scheduling, purchase orders, queries, issues, invoicing, reporting)
  • Subcontractor management including preparation of Subcontractor packages, covering scope of works, insurances, QA/WHS documents, claims processing & certification;
  • Accurately managing databases, records, systems and processes, such as tenders, pricing, contacts, and such;
  • Ensuring project compliance with safety, quality, cost and time deadlines, including liaising with relevant trades as required;
  • Identifying potential entitlements, variations and delays, and assist in preparing and resolving such claims, including liaising with site supervisors to ensure all relevant information in relation to variations is captured;
  • Assisting the PMs with monthly progress and variation claims, including liaising with client engineers regarding certifications etc;
  • QA involvement, including administration of the Companys ISO 9001 Integrated Business Management System, assisting with internal and external audits as required;
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives; 
  • Providing clear and concise information to key internal and external stakeholders, including liaising with the Finance team on budgeting, forecasting and such;
  • Document control and coordination plans, contracts and such;
  • General office and contracts administration duties as required

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the Construction industry.  Strong communication skills are a must, both verbal and written, as are excellent computer skills (specifically the Microsoft suite of programs).  You must also demonstrate strong analytical skills and high attention to detail, with the ability to read and understand construction documents.
