We work closely with a number of well established construction business with offices nationwide that specialise in Insurance Repair and Strata work. Due to strong demand, we have opportunities for additional Trade/Site Supervisors in Sydney for both BAU and Major Loss. These are real roles that are available now for an immediate start.
Seeking self-motivated individuals to Supervise and manage construction projects in Sydney. We are looking for experienced, dynamic, resourceful and motivated Supervisors who take pride in the quality of the work that they do. The successful applicants must have an excellent eye for detail and empathy for clients who are experiencing a difficult time.
This position involves:
Inspecting property damage
Obtaining quotes and competitive prices from suppliers and contractors
Preparation of tenders and budget estimates
Preparing quotations and reports
Negotiating contract prices
Coordination of all approved repairs using trade personal and contractors
Ensuring all jobs are programmed and completed within set KPI'S
Overseeing the quality & workmanship of trades people
Managing paperwork to required deadlines
Coordination of subcontractors on commercial and residential projects
Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and trade contractors
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
At least 10 years experience in the building industry (trade background an advantage) and preferably hold a supervisors license.
Insurance industry experience would be advantageous.
A strong working knowledge of construction and the current associated regulations
Competent computer literacy
Have a valid manual driver's license
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to perform well under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Have a professional appearance
Have the ability to complete written reports and quotations
Have excellent time management skills
Attention to detail
Typically the work requires Monday to Friday attendance, but in emergencies and during times of natural disaster, occasional weekend and after hours work may be required.
