Commercial Lead

12 month initial contract, Melbourne CBD location, Daily rate negotiable.A Commercial lead is required to join a well-known Australian Government body on a long term contract. The successful candidate will be required to lead the Commercial Team, whilst negotiating commercial outcomes and holding team performance accountable to high standards as measured against key performance indicators.

Key Requirements

  • Managing relationships and expectations with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Working cooperatively and proactively with organisations interfacing with the Project and building solid working relationships and partnerships
  • Act as lead negotiator on allocated projects of importance including analysis of complex situations and issues to ensure strategies and plans are in place
  • Conduct commercial negotiations and build relationships with key external stakeholders
  • Develop and implement dispute resolution requirements that comply with government guidelines, policies and align with industry best practice

Key Requirements

  • Solid experience as a Commercial Lead/Manager
  • Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and be accountable for team performance
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating critical commercial outcomes in highly regulated environments (government desirable)
  • Australian Citizenship is a mandatory prerequisite, NV1 security clearance preferred
