Internal Sales Representative


We are looking to add an energetic, creative, reliable and experienced Customer Service / Internal Sales person to our team.

The Company

Located in Nundah and servicing an Australian-wide customer base, Plastics Australia has been operating for 60+ years.  We are Queenslands leading designer and manufacturer of PVC and Polypropylene stationery and packaging items.

Whilst we offer a range of standard products, the core business is custom design and manufacture of functional and innovative products to meet our clients specific and varied requirements.   Products include ring binders, folders, compendiums, notebook covers, sheet protectors, media packs, poly satchels and boxes.

The Job

As an Internal Sales person, you will be involved in the following areas of the business:

  • Manage and grow the company client data-base, with the key focus being retention of existing business, managing organic growth, and developing new business opportunities.
  • Liaising directly with customers and providing advice and assistance with their inquiries, ie. Pricing, stock availability, order status, delivery date etc.
  • Interpreting clients needs.
  • Designing new products to meet the customers requirements, in line with our manufacturing abilities.
  • Promoting the companys 600+ product range.
  • Providing up to date and accurate follow ups to quotes and leads.
  • Providing outstanding customer service.
  • Providing assistance to the other sales reps where needed.

Your Skills

The successful applicant will have

  • Experience in customer service
  • An excellent telephone manner
  • Attention to detail is a key requirement
  • Competent using Microsoft Office programs  
  • Strong communication skills
  • Possess a strong work ethic
  • Be self-motivated, and organised
  • Interest in creating/designing functional product solutions
  • Be able to work well in a team or independently
  • Proven communicator with strong negotiation skills
  • Display a willingness to learn

Additional skills & Training

  • Previous experience in the printing industry, understanding of the various print processes would be an advantage
  • Full training in our proprietary software systems for Customer Relationship Management will be provided.
