To drive this strategy and commitment, in what can be high risk environments, we have aligned our business model to have a whole of business view creating the rare opportunity to join our Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Team in a Regional HSE Manager Role based in Adelaide, South Australia.
This role is critical to the successful implementation of HSE initiatives and procedures that continually progress our safety culture and performance across various sites within our Global Logistics Division.
Indirectly and through the provision of practical HSE advice and support, you will partner with line management and key stakeholders to drive continual improvement and visibility to safety, ensuring all risk is appropriately identified and managed.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Take the lead in coaching and mentoring your stakeholder group on HSE strategies and activities that allow and encourage a safety obsessed culture;
- Develop, review and implement Site HSE Plans, in partnership with key business stakeholders, including assisting the business in achieving all objectives and targets;
- Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs that enhance the understanding and effectiveness of the HSEQ Global Management System, risk management, safety leadership and hazard reduction; and
- Be accountable for driving through HSE governance processes including HSE inspections, HSE audits, incident investigations, and management reviews.
The ideal candidate
To be successful you will have demonstrable experience in a similar role, ideally with multi-site responsibilities, coupled with exemplary knowledge of HSE legislative and compliance requirements. A background in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing or industrial environments would be highly regarded.
With a strong stakeholder management focus the ability to influence and engage is essential to achieve Group HSE Strategy and foster strong working relationships.
