About the Role
The Team Member Reserves & Asset Maintenance will be responsible for performing maintenance and open space works. The primary objective of this position is to maintain Marion Councils open space assets with the key focus on delivering efficient and effective services to the community. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders. As an ongoing commitment to the organisation you will be responsible for delivering the best service to the community and to improve residents quality of life; continuously, smartly and efficiently in the scope of your daily work.
About the Person
To be considered for this role you will have demonstrated experience in Horticultural plant applications and maintenance. You will have exceptional communication skills and sound organisational and time management abilities. You will be willing to embrace new technologies in relation to streamlining Council programming and ensuring efficiencies.
MR drivers licence (essential).
Appropriate licences to operate plant and equipment used in maintenance (essential).
Certificate III in Horticulture or willingness to undertake (desirable).
Ability to maintain the reserves to Councils standards, including weed control, site clean ups and locating depth services.
Experience operating minor plant and equipment to maintain Councils reserves and surrounding spaces.
Knowledge of maintaining irrigation systems on reserves, including irrigation repairs, installations and programming ensuring the efficiency of the irrigation systems at all times.
Advanced knowledge of programmed activities and work practices relevant to the horticulture and revegetation establishment maintenance.
