The House Call Vet is a comprehensive and modern veterinary practice that combines traditional veterinary clinics with an advanced house call service. With our fleet of house call vehicles and network of veterinary hospitals, we care for pets across Brisbane. Our practice has experienced rapid growth over the past 5 years and we are looking for a junior receptionist to join our amazing team and help our practice continue its development.
Our ideal team member must be able to do the following: Engage and connect with our clients (pet owners)- You must have exemplary communication skills and have a very strong focus on customer service. You will need to be empathetic, professional, and able to connect with our clients quickly over the phone, via email and via social media. We want our clients to encounter a friendly and familiar voice on the phone each time they call, and we believe strongly in being as accommodating as possible to every pet owner that reaches out to us.
Be a team player- We have a large team of vets and nurses and you will need to be able to engage with them professionally on a daily basis. We are all passionate about animal care and work together as a team to provide outstanding veterinary care and customer service.
Multitask and retain information- Our practice is busy and constantly changing. We need someone who is highly organised with attention to detail so that they can stay on top of our busy schedule whilst maintaining an excellent standard of work. Being a mobile practice, our appointment schedule requires careful planning and constant monitoring and you will need to learn and understand suburb locations and travel distances.
Duties will include but not be limited to: - Provide exceptional customer service to every one of our clients - Answering phones, emails, and messages (facebook and SMS) - Scheduling appointments for our house call and clinic teams - Liaising with referring vets, referral centres and pet insurance companies While experience within the veterinary industry is helpful it is not a pre-requisite. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience. This if a full-time role including Saturday hours.
