Sales Executive

About Us:

Local Freight is Wacol based family-owned & customer service focussed freight company. We offer same day and overnight freight services across Brisbane, Gold coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba. We are expanding and looking for a passionate, energetic and experienced sales executive with previous transport industry experience. 

Qualifications & experience

  • The successful candidate must have prior transport and logistics experience, top sales skills such as managing enquiries, producing quotations, following up as well as computer literate.
  • Maintain good market and industry knowledge - technologies, standards and the competitive environment
  • A confident communicator and professionally presented
  • Being service driven and able to work unsupervised.
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Be well presented.
  • Have a hunger to succeed.
  • Have a good work ethic.
  • Current drivers licence.

Tasks & responsibilities

Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be responsible for generating customer leads, developing sales, managing accounts and ensuring the revenue targets set by the Sales Manager are achieved.

The role will include but not limited to:

  • Develop and execute a market penetration strategy to secure new business.
  • Identifying business opportunities and negotiate to secure new business.
  • Maintaining and expanding existing accounts.
  • Responsible for developing a plan to achieve sales target.
  • Responsible for carrying out prospecting calls.
  • Responsible for establishing and developing relationships with clients and providing them with excellent customer service.
