We are looking to add a manager to our experienced business advisory team.
The successful applicant will be provided with ongoing training and full support from other managers, directors and external training as required.
About the Role:
This role will have you working closely with the two directors of the firm mainly providing strategic advice and business advisory/ tax compliance services to small and medium size businesses. Core responsibilities in this position will include
Servicing a diverse range of clients including individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts and SMSFs
Reviewing work prepared by other members of the team. This will include reviewing
Preparing tax returns and financial statements, BAS and IAS for large Groups
Attending the preparation of tax planning, valuations and other general business advice
Day to day contact with client
Skills & Experience Required:
8+ years experience in Business Services / Public Practice
Experience as a client service manager would be a plus
Experience supervising/mentoring staff
Experience with Xero Practice Manager (including Xero Workflow Max, Xero HQ, Xero Tax, Xero ledger and Xero Workpapers) will be highly regarded.
Experience in Microsoft 365 Word, Excel, Outlook
Ability to prioritise work, be proactive and deadline focused
Focused on attention to detail
A Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Commerce or Similar
CA / CPA qualification would be a plus but not mandatory
Extensive Experience in preparing financials and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders and SMSFs
In-dept knowledge and experience with Div 7A, PSI, Capital Gain and Small Business Tax Concession.
Experience in research around tax issues and dealing with complex entity structures would be advantageous
Knowledge and experience of MYOB, Reckon, Intuite Quickbooks, BGL and Handisoft
