Our Services are available Australia Wide. Our Finance team are ready and waiting to welcome an experienced Payroll and Accounts Officer to join their friendly and committed team. If you are a 'numbers person' and have a good eye for detail, you will fit right in!

Qualifications & experience

 

  • At least 2 years of payroll experience in similar industry
  • Experience in accounts receivable and debt collection
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Process and deadline driven mindset with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Strong Computer and system navigation skills, preferably with MYOB software experience
  • Knowledge of end-to-end accounts payable is highly desirable
  • Sound knowledge of relevant employment laws, wage awards and Fair Work requirements
  • Certificate IV in Accounts Administration or Associate's Degree in Accounting

 

Tasks & responsibilities

 

  • Being the first point of contact for all payroll related enquiries
  • All aspects of wages processing, including: Accurately process end-to-end weekly wages payroll for over 30 employees in line with current award, including timesheet processing and costing across operational units
  • Management of wages employee payroll records
  • Assisting with the implementation of project work
  • Handling telephone account queries; providing high level of customer service
  • Build positive working relationships internally and with suppliers and customers
  • Participate in the overall team and finance function
  • Prepare and balance period-end reports, and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements
  • Regularly communicate with our HR team in relation to Employee Hires and Exits, process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the
