Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Pilot-In-Command

We employ a team of widely skilled engineers and industry experts to help devise effective solutions to the most complex problems.We are seeking a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Pilot-In-Command to operate hybrid VTOL-fixed wing unmanned aerial systems. The position is part of a multidisciplinary and agile product development team with extensive experience and knowledge of aerospace and broader engineering. Whilst the position entails developmental flight testing and commissioning of next generation aircrafts, the primary role will be focused on the safe operation of Carbonix's Powered-lift RPAS fleet.
Oversee the execution of flight tests and mission under direct supervision of Carbonixs Product Development Manager.
Provide pilot feedback to assist with tune stability and navigation control loops for optimal flight performance.
Work with the other streams of the business to develop, execute and analyse the results of flight tests.
Safe operation of the Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) in accordance with Carbonix operating procedures.
Comply with applicable regulatory requirements and supporting documents.
Conduct on-site Recognisance, Flight Authorisation Forms and Job safety Assessments.
Generation and up-keeping of user manuals and maintenance schedules with engineering team
Required Qualifications and Knowledge
Current CASA Remote pilot licence (RePl).
Aviation Reference Number (ARN).
Endorsed to operate
Experience in operating manned or unmanned fixed wing systems.
In- depth understanding of CASA Part 101 Manual of Standards 2019.
Valid Australian Drivers licence.
Ability to plan and conduct Auto missions through Mission Planner / Q Ground Control.
An ability to operate independently as well as in teams.
Prior experience in photogrammetry, multispectral and lidar survey missions.
In-depth understanding of Ardupilot.
