MS Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation providing specialised services to benefit people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other neurological conditions. At the heart of our work is achieving our mission of a world free from MS and finding a cure is the commitment of our people.
About the role
Provide key support to accounting activities of the organisation, covering the MS Society and Foundation general and subsidiary ledgers
Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations for review
Prepare monthly report of key Profit & Loss account items for month-end review
Assist with preparing BAS returns for review by the Financial Accountant.
Process accounts payable (AP) transactions including creditor statement reconciliations and payment runs.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce applicable to the position
Minimum 3 years accounts experience up to trial balance (incl AP, AR and Bank reconciliations)
Commenced or a strong willingness to commence further studies through either CPA Australia or the ICAA
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly an intermediate to advance level in Excel.
