You will be joining our afternoon shift team on a full-time permanent basis at our Sandy Point Quarry. You will be required to work 2pm to 11pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm Saturday.
Your role as the Maintenance Fitter will be to conduct planned and preventative maintenance as well as respond to breakdowns. You will be required to work on fixed plants such as conveyors, screens and wash plants.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and conducting maintenance on a range of fixed plant including screens, wash plants, crushers and conveyors;
Conducting emergency repairs and troubleshooting breakdowns to a range of fixed plant;
Fabrication and welding work as required;
Other duties as required.
The successful candidate will:
Be trade qualified and experienced as a Fitter;
Have extensive experience working with fixed plant such as crushers, screens, washplant and conveyors, ideally in a quarry environment;
Have previous experience in fabrication and welding;
Be able to trouble shoot and perform breakdown repairs with limited supervision;
Have a clear communication style and be able to relay information to the day shift to ensure continuity of operations;
Be able to work self directed and show a strong sense of initiative;
Have a safety focused and positive attitude.
