Kelly Group has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, full time administration person to join our hard working, professional team based in Toowoomba. This busy, rewarding role will undertake administration for two businesses, principally in the supply and installation of commercial roofing and wall cladding packages. The second, smaller business, Skippers at Dundee, offers beachfront accommodation at Dundee Beach in the Northern Territory. Therefore, familiarity with bookings and marketing would be an advantage. The role is suited to a confident, self-driven individual with 3+ years of administration experience. A multi-tasker who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment with the ability to work methodically and efficiently through high-volume work-loads.

You will capably prioritize tasks and work within specific time frames. Attention to detail is critical to accurate ordering. Therefore, we seek an enthusiastic individual, keen to engage with the training involved and to reciprocate through their contribution to the company. The ability to work independently and collaborate with the team is critical. As the first point of contact for our company, you will be very articulate and an excellent listener with a confident phone manner.

Tasks range from accounts payable and receivable to tender submissions, ordering and assisting customers with bookings/ enquiries. Ideally you will have previous experience in the construction industry and enjoy providing support to and learning from a small, dynamic team in a privately-owned, family business. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

proficiency in accounts payable and receivable and MYOB data entry,

proficiency with reconciliation of bank accounts and Visa Card Statements,

experience and proficiency with invoicing and account management,

experience with procurement, ordering and delivery to site especially pertaining to commercial roofing/ construction,

competency in scheduling bookings (e.g. travel/ accommodation) and providing secretarial support,

the ability to manage time sensitive deadlines to complete work in an accurate and timely manner,

willingness to focus and work hard,

a high level of competency with Microsoft Office Suite,

competency with website maintenance in WordPress and Wix (or eager to learn)

a well-groomed, professional presentation,

an engaging courteous manner with customers and suppliers to confidently seek and clarify information and capably represent the companies,

excellent attention to detail, account management and customer service,

exceptional interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication and highly articulate phone manner,

familiarity with tender invitations and submissions for construction (particularly in commercial roofing an advantage)

IT proficiency

a proactive, positive and flexible attitude,

strong time management skills and the ability to work unsupervised.

You may also have an interest and ability in digital marketing strategies though this forms only a small part of the role as does executive assistance to the Managing Director. The ideal candidate will be keen to gel well with our team, able to work autonomously and one who takes pride in producing exceptional work. The position available is for an immediate start.

Remuneration will be in line with the Modern Award and is negotiable based on ability and experience. Opportunities to progress both within the firm and financially are available for employees who excel.
