About the Role
We have opportunities for results-oriented Senior Technical Advisors in the Technical Advisory Branch within the Technical and Advisory Services in Revenue NSW, who will be responsible for providing advice on complex technical matters involving the application and interpretation of legislation to both external and internal customers. In this role, you will provide private rulings on complex tax matters and Identify technical weaknesses in the legislation and recommend policy changes. You will also draft revenue rulings, Commissioners practice notes and technical & procedural instructions.

The Senior Technical Advisor will also facilitate information and training sessions to various clients and teams within Revenue NSW.

Specifically, we are seeking Senior Technical Advisors to support the following products:

Senior Technical Advisor - Land Tax

This role provides advice on complex technical matters involving the application and interpretation of the Land tax, mineral royalties and emergency services levy legislation to both external and internal customers.

Senior Technical Advisor - Duties
This role provides advice on complex technical matters involving the application and interpretation of the Duties & FHOGs legislation to both external and internal customers.

To be successful you will:

  • Be a passionate professional with advanced levels of demonstrated legislative interpretation skills and establishing appropriate internal controls for identified risks.
  • Be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to achieving excellent customer service within a high-volume processing environment.
  • Cultivate professional development across Revenue NSW by enhancing the technical abilities of our staff, You will also work in collaboration with the Leadership team to implement consistent and transparent practices across the branch.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to maintain excellent internal and external working relationships.

Salary Grade 9/10 maximum salary package up to $135,304 Package includes salary [$110,745 - $122,038) plus employers contribution to superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.
