: Logistics Compliance and Safety Officer

Duties/Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Coordinate activities and audits to ensure compliance with Fatigue, Maintenance and Mass Management Accreditation
  • Monitoring, auditing and reporting speed and fatigue breaches relating to our fleet in line with our policies and guidelines for action
  • Maintain appropriate records for driving training
  • Assist in new driver recruitment, training and inductions
  • Monitor vehicle tracking systems
  • Investigate incidents/near misses and enter them into a properly maintained system
  • General administration duties as required
  • Measure service provider performance and hold them accountable for service failures by identifying root causes

To be considered for this role you must have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Transport background is prefered but not essential
  • Experience in Compliance
  • Good administration skills
  • Strong people, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing deadlines
  • Broad knowledge of Legislation, Australian Standards and Industry Regulations, Statutory Authorities, etc.
  • Proficient computer skills
