We are seeking a trade qualified and experienced Boilermaker for our client, a well-known jobbing workshop, located in the centre of Toowoomba.
Our client is a leading manufacturer and installer of high quality, custom built conveying and elevating products and a major fabricator of steel flighting systems, screw conveyors and augers. They also design, manufacture and repair moulds used by precast concrete manufacturers. They pride themselves on offering quality mechanical engineering solutions to the manufacturing, agricultural and government sectors.
Permanent full-time hours, some flexibility can be offered to be negotiated with the successful candidate
Monday to Friday - weekend work may be required but is not the norm!
Candidates must take pride in their work, have an eye for quality workmanship, be pleasant/warm in personality as well as self-motivated
This role will suit candidates who have strong technical skills; someone who genuinely enjoys a jobbing environment and is ideally looking for their next forever role!
Remuneration (salary, reasonable additional overtime is included) between $35 to $40 per hour plus super, dependent upon skills & experience
What Will I Need to Succeed
Minimum of MEM30305 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication
Ideally have a Forklift ticket
Must have manual Drivers Licence
MR Truck Licence would be terrific but not essential
Working at Heights and/or Confined Space tickets would be great but not essential
Great attention to detail, decent mathematics skills, ability to read a drawing and a can-do attitude
Decent communication skills, both written and verbal
Appreciation of workshop Health & Safety requirements and commitment to work within established procedures
Your New Roles Accountabilities:
Delivery of quality workmanship - MIG welding is what is mainly done!
TIG welding ability would also be an advantage
Ability to work on site as required (within a 150km radius of Toowoomba)
Stick & flux core on site
Drug and alcohol testing will be carried out randomly after qualifying period
Apprentices in their 3rd or 4th year are also welcome to apply
