Principal Analyst, Pricing

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) sets prices for water, public transport and local government in NSW, and provides economic and regulatory advice to the NSW Government across a range of other sectors and matters. We make the people of NSW better off through independent decisions and advice.

Principal Analysts lead teams of varying sizes to provide advice and analysis to an independent Tribunal on complex economic/financial issues, and to produce high quality public reports.

Role information


We are recruiting 2x temporary roles for up to 12 months. These roles have the potential to be extended or become ongoing, as needed.


Candidates with qualifications and experience in economics would be well-suited to the role, particularly those with experience in the energy, transport, water or local government sectors.

We welcome applications from a wide variety of related backgrounds (finance, engineering or other relevant disciplines) who can apply economic, regulatory and/or policy analysis to pricing or industry reviews.
