About us:

Roberts & Morrow is one of the largest regional accounting Firms in NSW. We are a reputable, privately owned, growing Firm employing over 140 staff with 14 Partners. We provide a range of accounting, financial and IT services with offices across NSW and QLD.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Assistant to join our progressive team. The successful candidate will be based in our office in Armidale, NSW.

Armidale is a city in the Northern Tablelands, New South Wales, Australia. It is approximately halfway between Sydney and Brisbane at the junction of the New England Highway and Waterfall Way.

 

About the role: 

  • Proactively support and assist the Chief Operating Officer and other Operations Team members as required. 
  • Be respectful of confidentiality within the Operations Team.
  • Assist with scheduling and attending meetings, prepare agendas, attachments & minutes.
  • Add and amend information in various Firm software / systems as required.
  • Oversee booking of transport and accommodation for Partners and staff at external conferences, seminars and training.
  • Assist and liase with clients, staff, Partners and external parties as required.
  • General administrative assistance including Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, correspondence, emailing, mail, faxing, copying, filing, archiving, general housekeeping etc.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes and reports for Executive Committee, Partner Meetings, Quarterly Retreats and Quarterly Staff Meetings.
  • Provide relief to Reception when required.

 

Selection Criteria: 

Essential: 

  • 3 years minimum experience in general office administration.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with Partners, staff and external stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise effectively.
  • Empathy and respect for all staff, with a commitment to handling issues sensitively and confidentially.
  • Working rights in Australia.
